“The Returning to Center Course was excellent in so many ways: it was full of useful information, thoroughly prepared and clearly presented by a wise and compassionate instructor. It feels like Amy really understands what she is teaching, and that she has a lot of experience working with postpartum — and all types of — bodies. She seems to have deep and detailed knowledge of the body, its anatomy and its mechanics, which she shares with a kind and enthusiastic tone.It took me a few trial runs of jumping around from section to section of the course to realize how it is organized and the progressive steps intended by the course’s design. Once I had figured that out, I actually decided to go back to the beginning and progress through each step in order. Although I have been working on my core for years, the course actually provided a wonderful and succinct review of information I had forgotten and I found it helpful when I was then doing the exercises. I loved completing all the steps until the end of a section, then having the “treat” of an audio recording of the whole segment to do all at once, while keeping all that I had learned and the visuals from the preceding steps in mind. After a while, I could do just the audio segments, one at a time or several in a row, depending on the time I had at my disposal. This flexibility was priceless.My body has never been the same since birthing a baby — and that’s a good thing! “It is difficult to put into words how much Amy and her Returning to Center course has meant to me. I am an actor and a movement professor, so my physical life is wrapped into my livelihood.
